New TPS fixed my problems
My truck was really acting weird. It would hesitate, had slow throttle response, and would occasionally stall when backing up, or going forward.
I thought I had a bad transmission as it would appear to either slip or the torque converter was locking/unlocking. I could hear and feel the truck surging. My rpms would increase 200-300 when this happened.
I noticed several posts that referred to the TPS as causing these very problems..... So I spent $40 on a new one and replaced it.
I could not believe what that did... It is now running without ANY problems, and the transmission has been shifting without any problems (knock on wood) heheh..
Thanks to all of you that led me in the right direction!!

I've heard more then once that a new TPS fix's all sorts of problems, not just the TCC lockup problem. Even when the original TPS seems to work fine.
I might have to pick one up, since mines 10 years old now.
