While driving if I encounter a grade the engine begins to sputter. If I am towing it gets even worse. Usually not an issue on flat surfaces. I have found that if I kick out the overdrive and/or put my foot intoit that sometimes clears it up. Any ideas?

 

Its probably not your engine, its the OD slipping/bucking. Mine does it in the winter only for some reason. Only in OD and when going up hills, ocasionally I've felt it on flat ground.

I dunped some Slick 50 trans treatment in there and it cleared it up.

 

Thanks for the info. I noticed it last August and it's done it pretty faithfully ever since. I'll try the Slick50 treatment, can't hurt at this point. Thanks again.
