have a 99 ram 1500, 5.2 v-8 with automatic and overdrive. have heard that different transmissions were put in these, so can someone help me id mine? the numbers on the trans case just above pan on drivers side are 4 fk5211982244(or 22AA) 2249 1909. then has a green sticker just above pan on trans case with numbers TPKTK224881909 then P52119820AA then on passenger side up high on side of case is another tag that reads 52118 784 328662 2 A4 B2 7/30/98. am getting ready to change fluid, and does this one have a screen filter like others do? any help is welcome

 

If you have a 99 1/2-ton V8 then you have a 46RE transmission.
