Default ac/heater

having problems with my ac/heater.....

in the morning when im driving i flick on the heat...high and on the floor setting...it never seems to heat up at all and when it does i have to keep it on high just to keep it warm in the truck....also when outside the truck i can hear the generator or clutch for the heat or somthing making a noise like its going on for a few seconds then off again. I have the same problem with the A/C. but im using the cold setting and max ac. what could this be. thanks

That clutch noise is the A/C compressor cycling on and off. From what I've read, it's not supposed to come on except on A/C settings and both defrost/defog settings. There are quite a few people here who experience the same phenomenon so I need to look some more. At any rate, even if the A/C is cycling ... you should still get enough heat. Your air blend door may not be going over onto the heat side much.

Awww, shucks ... not everything ... but I have wrenched on a LOT of cars and trucks ... all my own. That's what happens when you're too cheap to pay the man when your ride breaks down.
