I found a whole lot of discussion on this topic at the following link. It appears that the manufacture is an owner that set out to fix his own problem, gotta respect that. Mine doesn't clunk all that bad yet but let me know if you decide to try it.

Linking to other forums isn't exactly forbidden ... it's just not to be done to excess. This is one case where I think all 2nd Gen owners would greatly benefit from reading the discussions with the designer of this item.

thers a few fixes like this around.. another is a frame to frame connector braket that acts as a brace to help limit deflection.. thats what this product is helping to do with that plate that goes down..

I wanna say that other steering bracket is from DTprofab (not to be confused with don thuren fabrication) and last time i check was WELL over 200 bones
