oil pressure light
****Update****
Apparently, my problem was different than I originally thought. Perhaps it was due to the down time when I was replacing the sensor, but drove it again and it was back to its old tricks. Would start up, read fine, then drop to 0. 50/50 chance that when I turned it off and started it, that it would show any pressure.
The best the pressure ever got (even with gauge working) was below 40. Soooo, I dropped the oil pan, "hoping" that the screen was clogged, causing the problem.
Clogged was an understatement. Completely caked with grime and whatnot. It was any wonderthe gaugewas reading whatit did. Pulled the oil pump off, then pulled the tube and screen off of the pump. Spent 20 minutes cleaning the part and screen (vs $20 for a new one...probably should have done that, but the part will take 2 days to get here) and threw it all back together.
Thegauge now readswell above 40 except at extended idle. Then itwill drop rightto 40. Will post anything else should this problem show back up again.
Hope this helps!!!
