Default front coil spring question

I know on 4wd's the front springs on a 2500/3500 are 2" longer than a 1500 4wd, but what about a 2wd are the 2500/3500 2wdfront coil springs 2" longer than the 1500 2wd front coil springs?

thanks
Brad

Default RE: front coil spring question

I don't know the exact answer to your question, but to clarify, they are not necessarily 2" longer if your talking about the diesel coils. They are some amount longer (or taller is really the right word here), but you actually get the 2" of lift in a 1500 because of their spring rate (how stiff they are), not because of the spring height.

And I think the 2wd 1500's have IFS, while the 2wd 2500's and 3500's are solid front axle. I could be wrong on that though.
