first off, who was at fault, you or them. and if this a single accident and you slid off the road than they should have totaled it. being a 97 the truck is not worth the time or money to get it fixed. you will be without that truck for a good 3 weeks. and dont forget, will it ever be as good as it once was. look up the kelly blue book value on it before the wreck and see what they come up with for a price. then decide. but dont jump into anything before you research it.

based on the 2-d picture, it does look like the cab is damaged in the floorpan area and the area where the door mounts too.

That looks totaled to me. If they won't give you money for it the best bet is probably going to be just part it out. Should be able to get a 1/2 way decent amount for the drivetrain and rear axle. Even the seats, tailgate, stuff like that.

newbie to forum but veteran to collision...TOTAL LOSS...get the check and start over...buy it back from the ins. company if you've got $$$ into the engine, tranny etc...that frame is bent for sure
