You can usuallyt buy motor mounts but its cheaper and just as eash to fab up some of your own. Anything possible, so it would fit. You'll just need some fabrication skills. The bellhousing patterns are different though, so you'd either have to get an adapter to go to your 46RE or get some other trans in there. And I wouldn't recoment putting a big block in front of a 46RE, especially a built one.

Yes it will fit in the engine bay. I believe it was 4 wheeler or off road magazine a couple years back that had a guy do one. But I think he started with a 3/4 ton or 1 ton, due to the weight. Which will have to upgraded for your 1/2 ton. Dont remember alot of the details. Like I said it was a few years back. But worth checking out if you are serious about this.

I'd stay with a 727 tranny. Just get a driveshaft made.

My guess is they'll have to be custom made.

They make 727 to NP231 adapters, both are popular with off roaders.

itll have to be carbed' since i dont know if they make a MPI or TBI kit for the 440.. and if they do its prolly made money..

i like the idea tho!!! should be a blast to wrench on it

p.s. id get rid of the D44 and 9.25 and go with D60's or D60/D70 combo.. it would be smart on your part..
