spark nock
I am getting alot of spark nock from the moto when i am in OD and the RPM are down. I thought it was the plenium but it was ok (i replaced anyway) Then i thought EGR valve but it doesnt have one ...I am open to any and all suggestions ...When i am in OD and give it gas it rattles bad and doesnt pick up unless it drops down to drive
Wait until it gets dark, open the hood (engine running) and look for a light show. You probably have crossfire between cylinders ... fatter plug wires can help solve that. If it all looks good, try dropping down a heat range or two on some new plugs.
Some people say Seafoam works to clean out your CC's ... never used it myself. Read up on it some time ago, though. Never heard if it actually fixed any problems.
Not sure if you need to put any in your tank if you do the vacuum line thing (brake booster line is a favorite). Let the line suck it up and at the very end kill the motor. Let it soak for a while and when you start it back up you'll smoke out the neighborhood. If you try it ... lemme know if it fixes your pinging problem.

just go to the dealer and buy a can of conbustion chamber cleaner start the truck with the air hat off and spray the stuf in your TB then kill the truck and let it sit for 2.5 to three hours then go drive Have fun
are ya'll saying that the spark knock (pre-ignition) is caused by the extra heat from the carbon build up ?
2nd question.. is seafoam and mopar cc cleaner the same thing, or do the same thing ?
3rd.. TPS... how much does the mopar cost the walk up customer at the dealer ?

I usually put some on the gas tank and the rest on the brake line booster for good soaking on the intake manifold. If you live in the city, I would recommend doing it night as neighbors might complain of a huge smoke coming from your vehicle.

well I pourd 2 cans in with about 1/4 tank of gas and some down booster line (smoke like it was on fire ) let it idle for a half hour and then let it soak all night . So leaving for work will let yall know this afternoon

2nd question ... no Seafoam and Mopar CC Cleaner are not the same product although they are used for the same purpose.
