Default burn out/brake stand quuestion....

So i wanted to do a brake stand in my 2000 1500 4x4 with the 5.2 auto..completely stock..also has the lsd rear axle...so i tried to do a brake stand in my truck like i used to do with my other truck (93 f-150) hold the brake down as much as possible, and the slam the gas and let her rip....but i tried that in my dodge but all it did was rev to about 2100 rpms and squat...i put it into manual first and tried it again, and it revs again and starts to jerk a little...almost like it's trying to break loose....is there something i'm doing wrong? or is just impossible to do it on a dodge?

thanks in advanced

i couldnt do it until i got new tires, but let off on the brake a bit because you are locking up the rear brakes or you can get a line lock system

Try holding the brake just enough for the truck not to move, not fully depress them. If that doesn't work, i would trying mashing the gas then applying the brake. Although if you want your tranny to last long i would not do this too much.

make sure u have over drive off. that will help. and like said you gotta keep it where it feels like the trucks about to go fowards and dont let it. or if this is like a one time show thing u can crank your rear brakes out. ( i will not be held responsible for that in any way)

U can also try a line lock.
I have one on my Firebird it's cool as heck on the road
and works great at the strip for warming up the tires.

yea you dont want your brake to the floor get on it just light enough that its not movin
then work the gas to get the rpms up (you might have to get on the break a little more if it starts rolling)
Then it should rip them
