Default Oreillys sucks

They have the worst customer service out of any auto parts store, they have higher prices, and they have a very limited stock of supplies.
Autozone is 1 mile farther so it's all Auto zone for me!

You're getting ripped off. http://www.rockauto.com Even with FedEx shipping, the prices are cheaper.

Enlighten me ganderguy. I'm dying to know how you figure autozone is better. Autozone swears up and down that they can order a radiator for a 64 corvair. They also told me that a 1 wire alternator will never work without a voltage regulator. If you order parts from there stores near memphis, it has to go from the memphis to chicago and then back to memphis before you get it. Also you can't pick up parts from their warehouse. I can go to springfield, mo to any oreillys and if they don't have it but it's at the warehouse I can go by and pick it up. Autozone also carries parts that some manufacturers and dealerships haven't even released the patent to the automotive aftermarket yet. I know so many dirty secrets about autozone it's not even funny. Autozone will be closed before long. Especially since their ceo came from K-mart.

Yeah, I like Oreilly's a lot better than Autozone. It seems like when I used to go to Autozone, they never had what I was looking for, and I don't mean not in stock, they just didn't have it or carry it. Oreilly's would, and the one time Oreilly's didn't, they had it shipped to them in less than two hours from another store. Also, the customer service is a lot better at Oreilly's than Autozone, but I guess that depends on the individual people that work there, not the company as a whole, which also goes for the people at Autozone being incompetent here. I guess it varies from city to city, but I go the extra mile for Oreilly's.

I work for oreillys in customer service. We are the only company that offers a tech line to our stores. You can't blame the company for the individuals that work at the store. It's hard to find people that know their stuff to work for 7 bucks an hour. Plus half the time the customer has no idea what they're even looking for. Autozone has been sued several times for selling the wrong parts. Especially fuel filters for honda accords since honda hasn't released the patent to the aftermarket world. Oreillys is also a 100% profit company, meaning we owe nobody money. Everything we own is payed for. Everybody employs idiots, but autozone takes the cake. If you have a problem with an oreillys store, I can solve it.

after hours of debating on the phone and in person the issue was resolved.
Turns out an incompetent employee back in late 2004 not entering a phone # for warranty info can really screw up a day 2 years later.
Luckily thanks to a determined assistant manager we found it and got it fixed.

That is a big problem. When I worked at the store it pissed me off cuz I'd try to find a part someone bought, but was never entered into the system under the phone number. That system was set up to help us at the store keep track of items, but instead customers started assuming that they no longer needed their reciepts. Even though I know what I bought is under my account, I still keep my reciepts. I'm glad they found it though. Thats another problem. We keep hiring all these kids from mcdonalds and they don't care and don't know anything. As long as they can collect a paycheck and do as little as possible, they will. Its not even a hard job. They even have computers so their lazy asses don't have to use the book cuz we all know thats hard. lol.
