"Plenum Kit Vs. Plenum Only"
its my understanding that part # 7714 is the aluminum plate, plate gasket, and plate bolts, for $85.
part # 3205B is the side gaskets that you need to go between the intake and the heads, also the front and rears that go between the intake and the block, and new bolts for the intake. its another $47.95
i just ordered them both last night and plan to go ahead and do this while i've got it torn down for the water pump.

for those of you who've done the replacement...what did yall ordered? what additional items did you buy that were REQUIRED, not optional things like new heads, rockers or things that sort...just the required items.

ThingsI would remember for the plenum kit w/bolts upgrade-
1. Torque wrench for inch pounds. Can be one that goes to 1 ftpounds in 1 poundincrements. (1 ft pound=12 inch pounds)
2. silicone sealant - just needs a little in the corners of the front/rear gaskets
3. blue thread locker - for the new plate bolts
4. shop vac to remove old gasket scrapings
5. throttle body gasket - I went ahead and replaced mine at the time
6. water pump to block hose - If it hasn't been replaced, do it now.
7.one goodgo-fer
May want to do the 180* t-stat too, while your in there!
Hope this helps!

I got/You will need both the 7714 and 3205B. That way you will have all the new bolts.

i am in the middle of this job, still in tear down stage. you will also need a 'fuel line disconnect' tool, in 3/8 size. they generally come as a kit, in sizes from 1/4 to 1/2, made from either plastic or aluminum, starting at about $9 or so. i bought the aluminum kit at autozone for about $18 or so. unless you are 8 feet tall you will need a short step ladder or decking or something to reach over into the engine bay. i've confiscated the wifey's 2 step kitchen ladder. i'm thinking about dragging the picnic table over there. i also bought 7714 and 3205B, should arrive tomorrow. i've got to get a better torque wrench too.

Ops!!
Yes, I forgot to mention the disconnect tool as I had it already [sm=chairshot.gif].
I did the fan and shroud removal to work from the engine compartment and that helped out alot! But you have to have the gofer.
