What type of oil do you use?
Castrol oiland Mopar filter, about the only things I buy at Wal Mart. I slip a small amount Hyper Lube in because of our hot summer temps and the mileage on the motor. Diffs get Mobil syn blend, plus hyperlube.

I have heard so many things about fram before....my dad has used fram filters on all his vehicles that he has ever owned. The currenty 94 chevy 1500 he has now has 240k on it and runs like a top using fram filters and pens. oil, since owning my dodge I have ran the same and cant say I have any problems
the only problem i have noticed about fram is when i take them out they are all bubbled up from the heat which im not sure if that is affecting anything though
I am running on Mobil 1 10w30 full synthetic right now. I am switching over to Mobil 1 10w30 Durablend as soon as I install my rockers. I cant see spending $60 for an oil change. I also run Mobil 1 extended protection oil filters.
I use Quaker State, Havoline, or NAPA oils....it all depends on what brands are being sold at the store that I'm in when I remember that I need to do an oil change. I change the oil every 5000 miles.
As for oil filters; I've been using FRAM probably 95% of the time for over 25 years with never a problem. I'm using them in my Ram, the Harley's,the ATV's, the wife's Explorer and all the other 50+cars, trucks and bikesI've owned during that time.
I figure that if FRAM was such a terrible choice then they wouldn't still be in business after 75 years.

Purolator, if I can find it, but usually Bosch.
Consumer Reports did a very intensive study, probably 7 years ago, on oil, using NYC taxi cabs. Their conclusion - no oil was better than any other, even the expensive synthetics. Their recommendation - buy what's on sale. They also saw no advantage to changing oil at 3K vs. 5K.
That said, I use 10w-30, whatever is on sale at Wal-Mart, and I change it every 5K or6 months, whichever comes first.
