New Mods for Me
Well I am up to three mods with a fourth on the way. First I started with Hyperteching for 87 octane on the 2001 5.2L. This was an improvement. Yesterday completed a Dynatech high flow cat and a Flowmaster Big Blcok 50 - all three inch in and out. I have had a chance to put some miles on and was very impressed pulling hills. Not much loader than stock, which I wanted.
The Fastman will be here in a week or so. Cant wait for the snow to go away so I can trailer a load and give it a real test.

Well for your programer you might want to considering a 180* themostat. Air intake would be another good upgrade, I'm going to putan open element on soon insted of a K&N.
When you upgrade the engine performance you may want to upgrade the STOPING. Whooooooooo........big fella!

JR360, I have a 180 degree stat in the garage as well... waiting for warmer weather. I too think I am going the route of 14x3 for air intake. Sounds this the guys on the forum have had better experieinces for significantly less money.
How do you like your 3.92's?

Well I just now put that 180* on thursday and my water & enginetemp has decreased a good 30 degrees, for my air cleaner I wanted not to big for interference with anything it will be a 10"x 2" Edlebrock#1208 and a K&N filter#1068 from summit racing. I'm also relocating my IAT sensor to the air filters base. I also thought about removing the side panels from the left&right off the front for more air into the engine bay. I may even put a cowl scoop on (2-3 inch).
My 3.92:1 is a good gear in my opion. In between the 3.55:1 streetand the 4.10:1 H.D. tow gears, the posi was installed by the former owner it's only in the rear. Its got a decent take off and a top speed. When it takes turns you can feel the twisting of the rear trying to pull out from under the frame. I don't need to get above 40mph in tight turns. I thinking about getting me some cross drilled/slotted rotors and hawk brake pads on.

I've got the 3.55's; made a mistake... should have found this site seven years ago. Been toying with 3.92's or 4.1's. I think the plan is to do all the easy mods then tell the wife I still need trailer pulling power... so I can get the gears.
