IF you are seriously going to go with a spacer, replace your lug studs to compensate. I had recently talked with a friend at a tireshop and he was telling me the studs end up being too short and your nuts dont stay on properly resulting in a possible lost wheel driving down the road. in the end it isnt as costly as buying a whole new set of rims.

beware, some police may stop you for the wheels protruding from the truck.. and you'll end up having to buy fenderflares to comply with the MVA.

The only size wheel spacer you can use on the stockstuds is 1/4..I tryed a set of 1/2 and the studs were to short.I went with a set of bolt on spacers and have had no problem

Big time safety hazard alert. The wheel locates on the raised portion of the hub, use a spacer and the studs end up taking the full brunt of shear forces. The least problem will vibration because the wheel isn't concentric to the axle center line. Also the wheel bearings are stressed.

yeah, you can usually find some decent rims with the offset you want.

im picking up a set of these, they have an offset which will end up having my tires stick out ~1.5"

I'll never run them, but thats just me. It puts alot more strain on the studs and lugs.
