What cummins is better the 12 valve or the 24 valve and why

 

This is one of those arguements that can go on all day with no clear winner. The 12v is know for being more durable in the long run, but out of the box, the 24v makes more power. The 24v has more power options available, like chips and hand held tuners that are expensive, where as the 12v is basically all mechanical, so making power is cheaper. The newer 24v is quieter also. Guess it all depends on what you want to do with it.

 

12 valve is the best. Make your horsepower the old fashioned way..... MECHANICALLY.
