I have a couple questions, and maybe someone can provide some good info. that others can benefit from also. I have a 1999 1500 4x4 that I will be replacing the fornt hub assemblies. When trying to locate the correct part the question came up regarding ABS front or rear. My truck has an ABS light on the dash, but it doesn't seem to have front ABS. I have read somewhere that some trucks came with rear ABS and not front ABS. What is the proper way to tell if my truck has front ABS? It seems that there are two different hubs, one with ABS and one without. The other question that I have is, what are the steps in changing the hubs? The local shop wants a small fortune for doing it. Is this something that the average joe can accomplish at home without too much trouble? Thanks for any help, this board has always been great when it comes to tech questions.

Wire going to each front hub ... trucks that are RWAL only have no wiring in this area.

 

Look on the sticker under the hood. It'll say there
