Default New Exhaust Installed

I just Installed a magnaflow direct fit cat & a flowmaster super 40 series muffler on my 1998 Dodge Ram 2500 5.9 2WD.....all I can say is wow it hauls really good! Very happy with the performance! I think the 40 series muffler is a bit loud for my taste......it sounds awesome but with 4.10 gears it's pretty loud even on the highway. My buddy's are all saying I am a wuss if I put on a 50 series....are they that much quieter?

Maybe I do have to get use to it? It sure seems loud though haha! I think it sounds really good though, so the 50 series is pretty much the same outside but quieter inside? That actually seems like it would be good.

I'm not sure if I have a 50 series or 40 series on mine but I'm thinking maybe a 40. It's not loud at all inside the cab. You can hear it but not bad at all and hard to hear over the roar of the Edlebrock air hat. Outside the truck it's pretty darn loud. Seems like it rattles the house if someone drives away in it. I'm about to get my exhaust redone and think I want the same setup but not sure which one to go with. Whatever I have I love it. Loud outside but not too loud inside the cab but you can hear it roar a little.

I love my Flowmaster 40 cat-back. It's got a real nice deep tone to it.

I hate to admit this .........but......I took off the super 40 tonight and put a delta 50 on ...............It's perfect.....it still has plenty of growl and a the throttle response hasn't changed....it's not quiet at all but not loud either. I'm not sure if the magnaflow cat and the 40 was the reason but it was just way to loud for me. I am totally happy with the 50. I will post a sound clip when I get a chance, it sounds great!
