Default a new look

hey ya'll, well, my tires are about ready to be changed, and i want to get a new look this year. Im running 265 75 right now on tires size, i think its 31 inches, cant remember. im looking into the mickey thompson Dick Cepek mud countrys. pretttty sweet lookin, along with these tires im looking into a skyjacker 2in lift. with this i have two questions, what size of tire would go really nice with the 2in lift, withought me having to tweak much. and also, the 2 in lift. the rears have the Add a Leaf but the front comes with around two choices, new springs or poly bushings. what do you guys think is the best? im new to these upgrades so any and all advice will be appreciated! thx a lot!

I'd just get a leveling kit (raises the front 2") and go with either 285's (will fit) or 295's (should fit).

with the 2 inch lift, you should easily be able to fit 33x12.5xXX(16 or 17 or any size rim you'd like) easily without any rubbing.265x75x16's are almost 32 inch tires i believe, so with a 2 inch lift you should fit 33's easily and they will look very very good.

how hard would it be to install a leveling kit? is it just a matter of adding a bushing to the front shocks?

You just add 2" spacers above the coils. I think Top Gun Customz makes a set that are considered bulletproof.

EDIT: Yeah ... here they are: http://www.marketworks.com/storefron...amp;i=27310596

Don't think you'll need new shocks for only 2".

Don't know if you'll still be nose down ... the point of a leveling kit is that you don't need extra clearance in the rear ... already plenty of room back there. You need to raise the nose for larger tires ... plus it just looks better ... substantially cheaper, too.

leveling meaning the front will be just as high as the rear. From the factory as you know your truck comes with a rack stance, and a leveling kit makes it level.

For what I use them for (4x2 on dry pavement, 4x4 on wet and snow) I like them just fine. Seriously long wearing tires ... worth the extra $$$.
