Gages
I have a 2001 Ram 1500 SLT laramie. 2WD 5.2l engine. For the last 6 months to a year my gages have been going out of control while I am driving. My dash ligts come on and I get the reading " no bus" where the odometer is. The truck runs fine while this is going on. It will only last 3-5 minutes then back to normal.
Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a fix? Thanks
Hope I did this right it is my first post.

welcome. do a search on "no bus" for a lot of previous posts.
no bus indicates lack of communication between the pcm on firewall and the other components including the bcm (gage cluster) and ctm (central timing module, under dash to the right of the gas pedal.
try these.
1. make sure there are absolutely no missing or burned fuses under hood and in end of dash. do not assume that 'pwr locks' is unrelated, becuase it is important to the ctm, even when you don't even have power locks. (i learned that the hard way).
2. remove, clean, retighten 2 ground wires on power steering pump.
3. disconnect battery, unplug and replug the pcm several times to clean the pins.
4.. if that doensn't help, remove and clean the 3 grounds behind and above the drivers side kick panel.
5. check the sticky thread at the top of 2nd gen forum and download the 2001 factory service manual.
good luck.
