It's called an "avatar" there's a place where you can upload one in your profile settings.

Yep it's a avatar. For some reason I couldn't get mine working on this site though I don't know why.

be sure its of the correct filesize and format,. i just went through the process again for you, and it works fine.

(145 X 145) Max. 20KB;
jpg/gif are supported

as well, it sometimes takes a few tries, i noticed that when i updated i needed to refresh, and replace it a couple times.

if it's not the right size go into paint and stretch and scew it down to the right size, they allow bigger avatars on this forrum than most.

you will need to resize your picture down to a smale size, i think it was something like 24k, which requires a low resoultion something like 100 x 100. you can use Mozilla Firefox plug-in, IrfanView, as a really good tool for resizing, rotating jpg's. or at the windows level you can use a free program called 'resizer', available on the internet. then just upload the picture using this sites 'my profile' screen.
