Ok after 180,000 my tranny died and I got it rebuilt. At 45-50 mph the thing would shudder only in overdriveand kicked out a tourque converter code and I rebuilt the tranny. A month later I get a #2 misfire and the same problem same symptoms if I turn overdrive off it goes away. Does anyone have a suggestion? The work was done by a reputable shop and I still have a 2 year warranty. I will take it back to them to look at but short of the transmission will the misfire cause a problem like this to appear? I have new tires and just rotated and balanced, a complete front end rebuild, new u joints all new plugs, wires etc and yes they are hooked up right I checked twice I also have new 02 sensors. . . The truck is a 1996 with a 5.9 and totally stock. Thanks.
