lol believe it or not but I have actually filled up 26.5 gallons. Not sure how close I was to running out and pushing to the gas station but I'm sure it must have been close.

i was asking my ?? because i have put well over 26 in the tank and it was still before the light kicked on...so i was just curious if maybe they offered different sized tanks as options

They weren't actually "options" per se ... different models came with different sized tanks. Long beds came with 35G ... short beds got 26G. IIRC ... any CTD got a 34G.
