Hey Bill, have you ever heard of anybody having problems with the 45RFE transmission. It seems a bit shift happy and was thinking maybe another 100000 miles down the road that might take a toll

I've barely HEARD of the 45RFE tranny. It's a 3rd Gen thing.

Don't know of the differences (if any) between the 45RFE and the 545RFE ... except I think the latter is a true 5 speed.

typo! I do keep it out of O.D. while towing. Usually does it more around 50 mph.
