Well....I'm new to this forum...I found it after searching for stuff about dodge's and what place is better then this?

Soooo I recently just bought a 1996 Dodge Ram 1500 v8(5.2) and its sort of loud but not the humm I want. So I was thinking about getting Flow Masters 20 series...is this worth the buy? This is my first truck so any advice would be helpful

Chad.

I believe so...it stops under the truck like right under the passenger side ..im guessing that was done by the previous owner unless that is stock...I dont know lol >.< But...to me it looks like its stock

Also I was told by my sisters bf to get 20 series...maybe I heard him wrong >.<

yea ive never heard of a 20 series from flow master but their loudest muffler is the standard 40 series. flow master sound good the only thing i dont like about them is any thing over 3000 rpms the engine noise overpowers the exhaust. but other than that they sound good

Actually, the loudest muffler that flowmaster has is the 10 series (single chamber), it's not legal for the street, but i do not see how a regular inspection station will be able to tell that it is illegal. The 10 does not sound like the flowmaster tone though, it has more of a raw tone. The 40 is quieter than the 10, but the 40 sounds better. There is one that it louder than the 10, the Outlaw, but that is made to be connected directly to the header.

Okay, thanks -- What's the worst they could do if i did have the 10?

I dont want a loud loud noise...but I want people to know if im coming...if you know what I mean and I like the rumble noise when you idle and take off...i dont know...i told myself the first thing I was going to do was buy a loud exhaust (when i say loud i mean truck loud...not ricer loud)
