Default Trans pan drain plug!

Well first of all let me say I went to change my fluid and filter today! Nuff said,LOL. The pan will not go back on until I have a drain plug. I called Autozone,Advance,Pepboys, and VIP. The people that work there are complete idiots(as we all know) and have no idea what I'm talking about or don't have it. Anyone have a part # and brand that these stores might have in stock so I don't have to go to each one tomorrow and look for myself? The only one I know of is Spectre #5449 that my local Autozone does NOT have in stock.LOL This is a bummer because tomorrow is Sunday and I need to use the truck on Monday after a week and a half of not working because of my back.TIA, John

I dont know of any big chain parts stores that would have one. If you get in a bind and need one let me know, i can next day air it to you. We have quite a few drain plug kits in stock.

Autozone website lists on: number 5449
OReilly: 4470 or 80250
NAPA: BK7041074

I know when I went to get one for my truck, all my local parts stores had them in-stock.

Thanks man! I figured out the Mr Gasket is 4470 and the 5449 is Spectre at autozone, none of the dumps around here has them, and it was too late to call my regular parts store and they are closed tomorrow. What is the 80250? Is that a HELP! part #? TIA

Thanks, But I see the 80250 is a B&M part #.

When I worked at Autozone they used to carry the B&M plug. You might check in the oil pan bolts because Dorman makes one as well and they are usually part of the display.

I called everywhere in a 50 mile radius and nobody has nothing. Sucks! I searched the Dorman/motormite website and could come up with nothing there either, so I guess the pan goes back on one more time without a drain plug, oh well. Thanks bud. Although I have one more shot at it tomorrow, as there is one real parts store that is amazingly open on Sundays.

Try asking them for a piggyback plug. The HELP! section should have one.

Thanks all, I finally found them on the dorman site. Now I can call them all again. Probably should just go look myself, but now I got ANOTHER snow storm to deal with!LOL
