electric fan
alright i got the fan and put it on, got a controller.......i wired it up like the diagram at the bottom of the page and it works good with the engine off, but with it on it blows a 30 amp fuse......im using 16ga wire that came with the controller and i think my relay is 30 also.....anyone know what im doin wrong? too light of wire?.....any suggestions are welcome.....gotta go to work, so i cant get back on here until 11....thanks
ooops, heres how i wired it all the way at the bottom.....any ideas as to why it blows fuses?....im gonna try bigger wire tomorrow and maybe bigger relay

make sure all your connections are good (no exposed wire), and if they are, then double check you got the relay connected to all the right wires, and if still good, I guess try a different gauge wire...
i got a mark viii fan....its pretty awesome.....i think i got it figured out...i got a 40 amp relay and a 40 amp fuse and its doin good, from what i read, when the fan kicks on, the amps spike up to around 100 for a second and then settle back down to around 35....it suggested using a 75 amp relay, but i couldnt find one....gonna redo most of my wire with 10 ga later
Napa has a 75 Boush amp relay,.. I used a mega-fuse. (The kind that the wire bolts
to each side of the fuse &, the fuse is in it's own holder). The spike at start-up is what's
killing the 30 amp.
