i took a jigsaw and cut out what i didnt want, then took a soldering iron and took a part of the crossbar and "welded" it in the middle to retain the lip...... i can now sand it down then use abs cement as a bondo to smooth it out......

i got the idea from a guy on dak dur that made his own sniper grille, on his he used fiberglass tho

heres where i got the info for the way im doin it

there are a lot of vendors selling one on ebay that looks like thet for about $85.....LMC is a huge catalog markup company....they want over $300 bucks for the exact same billet aluminuim grill kits that sell on ebay for $75 shipped? and my headlights are well over twice what i paid for them there too...they must really profit off all the computerless older guys out there...

I would paint it as you want and put the DIY Mesh grille:
https://dodgeforum.com/forum/2nd-gen...grill-diy.html

I meant to do this and bought all the parts/tools but got distracted and busy. Good, cheap, turns out good mod.

Dakota if you can't find the mess you like. Both Lowes and Depot sell metal panels in various designs, they call it "expanded metal". You can usually find it by where the doors are sold.
