I keep opening my hood after driving to find my upper radiator hose pinched shut. I removed the radiator cap a couple times and ran it to work out any air, but it seems to be coming back. Don't know how air can get in if no coolant is leaking out?

 

The upper radiator hose pinched shut, used to be a sign the t-stat was sticking.Everybody here has had air in the system, it seems.These trucks will stay cool with a pint of coolant and water I beleive. I have seen very few overheating threads in my time on here(over 5yrs. dispite what my info. says)

 

I'm with ya there halfamil I have only had my truck overheat one time and that was when my truck broke its belt and I had to drive 30 min to find an auto store that was open.

 

never had an overheting issue with mine either. maybe do a pressure test

 

I've had cars since 1952 and have never had an upper rad hose collapse.

 

I know what you mean. this is my 16th vehicle since I was sixteen and of blown head gaskets, leaks, etc., I've never seen a line jus collapse like this...
