I'm running a 5 ft firestik. I like it becuase it's durable and less expensive than the wilsons. 5 fotters run like 20 bucks for around here. If you go with a firestik get the tunable tip ones for $1 more. A few tips to keep in mind: the taller the antenna the better, and if you mount in on your toolbox or on the bed rails, it'll work better because the signal will use the roof to reflect off of.

For the mounts they make a mount that attaches to the stake pocket. I used one for a while and it worked great.
For the antenna the best one I have ever had was a 102"? stainless steel whip, it had great reception and my weather channels worked great. The only drawback is how large they are, they draw attention and people tend to mess with them. DO NOT get a cheap fiber glass antenna, basically they suck, poor reception, poor transmitting, and they don't recieve the weather channels very well. Right now I am running a shorter fiberglass K40 (excellent brand) with a tuneable tip. It works decently for both CB and weather channels but not as good as the 102"? whip. Make sure to tune your antenna, the CB can get damaged while transmitting if the SWR is not tuned.
If you have not bought a CB yet I would suggest Cobra (what I have) or Uniden. There may be other good brands but these are 2 that I have heard good things about. My dad still has his Cobra from when he was a teenager (70s) and it still works great. Get one with weather channels and one that can tune SWR.
