Hi I have a problem and have been searching for it but no luck so maybe sombody can help me....

Leaks only antifreeze from possibly the tranny...
Its after the engine before trans...Cant see if the freeze plugs good or bad..
But it drips from inside the housing....but its not spray off ..it is deff coming from inside somthing out to the bottom trans seal ...
I bypassed the heatrer core ...still leaks
I dont know what it is it heats up to proballly 220 ish then then drops to 190 ish operating temp...I dont no what to do.. I dont really have cash to just replace all the parts until its solved.. Just rebuilt the whole front end with hd parts...
followed all coolant lines...
all my fluids are there own colors....
i do have pin hole trans cooler line leak ...

if you're sure its not coming from the water pump or intake, or side-of-block freeze plugs, its probably coming from the back-of-block freeze plugs. the correct fix is to remove the transmission and replace them.

however, you might be able to seal them up with a stop leak product. i always get flamed for suggesting this, but it doesn't really hurt anything and sometimes it works.

as far as overheating a little, its probably due to low coolant. keep the radiator and overflow tank full. be careful about opening the radiator cap.... don't get burned.

 

My guess is a freeze plug.

its definitley your rear freeze plug just had the same problem a couple months ago. most shops i called wanted about $450 to pull tranny,replace freeze plugs and put tranny back up. i found a shop that did it for $300 out the door. I was going to do it myself to save $297 but i didnt have time and needed my truck right away. this should give u a ball park estimate of shop prices.

Dripping off the bottom of the trans near the inspection plate? Or running down the outside of it?
