Tires Rubbing
I know this has been answered but in searching I can't find what I'm looking for.
I have 3" coil spacers, 285/75 16 tires, and my rims are 16x8 with a 4 1/2 backspacing.
I was expecting some rubbing at full lock. But, with this first snow. I was in 4 wheel high and was rubbing hard at like 1/2 turn. I'm pretty sure it's not rubbing on anything plastic, I think something suspension related. I'm not sure yet, it's too dark, any ideas?

Well my rig is only 2 wheel drive BUT, with a bad ball joint or two and the ensuing misalignment with the stock 16" wheels and 245/75 when the wheels are turned all the way to the left (driver left) the tire about 1/2" down from the edge of the rim would rub on the bottom control arm right below the bottom shock bolt.
With 17" wheels and 265/70 at full turn something is grinding right on the damn edge of the rim. And the aluminum doesn't take much abuse either....
How's your ball joints and alignment?

When you have enough light you should check the back of your tires and the control arms for any signs of rubbing. The rubbing on mine left a ring around the back side of the tire and a VERY smooth and shiny spot on the control arm.
I'd guess the tie-rod ends. Will it rub in 2 wheel drive or only in 4 wheel drive? If it were a ball joint or alignment issue I would think it would rub in 2 or 4 wheel and more often.
I know that turning in 4 high or 4 low is different then in 2 wheel but I've not drove a 4x4 Ram so I don't know how much it varies from a F250 or a Chevy S10 Blazer.

It never rubs in 2wd. And I was saying I only made 5 turns in 4wd and it happened every time, I was just moving it in a parking lot.
