what specific size tire do I need?
Hey Y'all!
I want to run 35'' tires on my 2001 dodge ram 1500 4x4 off road package, I am looking to order my tires online, but I am not sure what the full tire size will be.
The truck has the standard off road rims 17'' and obviously the tire size will be 35'' but what about rim width?
I know this is kinda of a retard question, but I just need some quick help please!
Appreciate it yall!

Backspacing will be a problem in addition to not clearing the fender well with only the ORE lift. You can run 33s with very minor issue, but I'd recommend 4.5" backspaced wheels (minimum), which will result in just a kissing of the inner fender on the plastic at roughly 90% of full turn. Why....b/c I ran that setup for about 5-6 years.
35s will need a comfortable 5" lift, which can be done by a full kit or a budget one.
The guys above are citing 315 tires. Those are metric and is 315mm width = 12.4ish" If a tire is listed as 35x12.5x17 then it is 12.5" wide. Now if you don't know, not all tires actually measure true to those dimensions. For example BFGs a/t typically run quite short (e.g., 35" when installed results in 33.5"ish). Also, changing tire size will impact your speedo unless you calibrate it with a tuner or a shop.
Good luck soak all this up, which I certainly have not covered everything.

Lift/leveling kit for dodge Ram with Off road package?
Hey Y'all!!
I have a 2001 dodge ram 1500 4x4 Off road package, And I would like to increase the riding hight in the front additional to the 2'' lift the off road package delivers.
I have considered either a 2,5'' leveling kit from Rough country, or the topgunz customized 3'' blocks. Would either one of them work, and and in addition to the blocks, would I need to replace my shocks with either one?
Y'alls help is greatly appreciated! Thank you!
