THE OFFICIAL 3rd Gen Dakota OT Thread
Well, today is pre-op. May the floor pacing begin. Lots of people to meet, the surgical team, the anes....anesth.....knock-out doctor and various nurses. Oh, and btw the actual surgery has been moved up to the 5th. I'll try to let yall know as soon as possible about how it went. It'll be about a week or so.
Through the kindness of my bro-in-law I have access to a laptop. Jase is getting ready for surgery. Just got an update. He's getting I.V.'s and stuff. Do Jase a favor, please pray hard for us. This is so new to us. I know this sounds pretty desperate, but anything helps.
ok fellas and fellettes, sorry it's taken so long. Jase is doing fine. They started at about 7:00 a.m, and finished at about 1:45 p.m. Essentially, he's fixed, but you never know down the line. He's in the PICU right now. I have pics on the camera, but i can't upload them until I get home. I just wanted to let you know that he's got a lot of recovering to do, but he's breathing on his own and soon the drainage tube will come out. Maybe as early as tomorrow. He has a feeding tube to his stomach. We appreciate all of your thoughts and prayers. We are currently staying at a Ronald McDonald House, and I'm on the computer here. Mommy is staying with Jase at the hospital. My 3 yr old just fell asleep and this is literally the first time I've been able to let you guys know anything. Sorry for the delay. Go Team Jase!
Thanks, guys! Things are getting better with every minute. He's eating his regular food (mommy juice). That seems to hit the spot. He's a lot calmer, and has been resting more since. He now has had the drainage tubes from his lungs and heart taken out and is about to come out of picu in a couple of days. Still looking at another 4-5 days, depending on his progress. My 3 yr old and I are probably going to go to the OKC zoo or the science museum tomorrow. He's suffering from some major cabin fever. Daddy might just be too. So with that said, good night, Fellow Dak Owners.

(we got your back brother.)
