I just bought a 2006 Dakota Quad Cab 4x4 with a 4.7 and 68,000 mi. I'm thinking about going sythetic on all fluids. I just changed the oil with Amsoil 5-30. Should I just go all the way synthetic on the Trans, Transfer case, rear and front ends, power steering and brake fluids?

I saw once on one of those horsepower shows, dyno results before and after a full synthetic oil swap for a total difference oh 20hp
Ever since, I swapped all my fluids. i doubt the difference is actually 20hp but hey...
I was watching one of the Powerblock shows on Spike and they changed engine, tranny, and rearend to all royal purple on a 2000ish camaro. they dynoed before and after with about a 7hp gain.
are the gains worth the cost of constantly royal purple? I don't think so.
Maybe not just for 7hp, but if there other claims are true than maybe so.
12k mi between oil changes? that makes the cost the close to conventional if you pay $9/qt.
Increased gas mileage, that only makes it more worth it as gas prices continue to soar.
Extended longevity of parts from reduced friction, I read a study about there being minimal wear after xx amount of miles on the engine. I don't quite remember the specs and wouldn't want to just make up something, but it was some amazing results as I recall.
