red ring of death
nice vid
get one of the new 360s they eliminated the rrod buy adding a feature were if the system detects its overheating it gives u a min to save then does an auto shut off, get the hard drive transfer kit to switch ur data over to the internal 250g hard drive costs 20 bucks then trade it and the old hard drive in, i work for gamestop btw lol
The Original Poster should of did that quick temp fix then traded it in to gamesto when they were offering a fairly good trade in price for the new version of the 360. The old ones are basically disposable now anyways I picked up a spare arcade version for the other room at Target for $150 plus you received a $50 gift card for free so it was only $99.
a few friends of mine got away with doing the temp fix and got away with it on the trade in for the new version. I am excited about that kinexts (sp?) thingie coming out. you gonna get that?
i got my son a 360 for xmas last year, the limited edition call of duty one....he played it for about a month then said he didn't like it so I sold it on ebay for $400...
I fix 360's, all that bad boy needed was a little H20 cooling.
I have my 360 liquid cooled, Love it way more than my Wii or the PS3 I sold.
Lighting them on fire is fun too. If I get 360s that are too messed up, thats my preferred method of destruction.
LOL That wouldnt have saved this thing. It started last year and the XClamp fixed it. Then I mounted a 120mm fan over the heatsink. Then I had to reflow the mobo for the first time and that lasted for about 9 months. Then a couple of weeks ago it went out. So reflowed the mobo again and lasted about a week. Reflowed it two more times but it would either give the loose ram error or triple ring every time it was turned on. Had to put it out of its misery.
Haha, as a Playstation 3 owner, nothing makes me more happy than seeing this video. My favorite part is having to run over it more than once, just to make sure it was dead. Good post.
