That was interesting. I bought my first 360 out of the 7 or 8 I have had now. Currently I have 2 older ones in my closet with the rrod and the new one working. I won my first 360 in the Mountain Dew contest and then just kept getting it replaced under warranty. Then the last time I had it sent in they lost it in their warehouse and sent me one then a week later they sent me back another one when they found and replaced it.

Nice vid!

I had to send mine in for repairs about 6 months after I bought it, but have had no problems since. The cooling fan is loud as sh*t though which is kind of annoying but I'm used to it by now. Here's a few stories about the dreaded RROD.

One of my boys had his RR a few months ago and his nephew "fixed" it for him by wrapping it in a towel and throwing it in a hot oven for a few minutes. Haha. Supposedly it does something with heating/softening the soldered connections? It actually worked again for a few weeks but then died another, more permanent death not long after. I told him to send it in for warranty repairs, but he told me he originally bought it on Ebay and it didn't even have a serial number (and he paid almost as much as I did when I bought mine new). Haha, dumbass. Fortunately for him his fiance just got him the new 360 for his birthday.

I've also heard of ppl doing the 'switch' when theirs goes bad (usually somewhere like Walmart, since they rarely check exchanges/returns and you can return *******ly anything in any condition there...even "used diapers" as Rodney Carrington says). Basically, they just drop the coin on a new arcade version, keep their hard drive, then put the RR version in the new box and "return" it like they're bringing the one they just bought back for a refund. Apparently this scam has worked for a sh*t ton of ppl all across the US. Clever little f'ers.

Personally, I dunno what I'd do w/o my 360. Going live and tormenting 13 y.o's on there has become one of my favorite past times. Haha
