Default Map lights

How do you remove the map light covers to replace the bulbs in the overhead console? Checked owners manual and a Haynes manual.

Do you have a screen up there, or just the light?

I only have a light, no display screen.

If you have downloaded the huge 5000 page service manual, the instructions are one page 1309
8m-16 to remove the console.
and then to change the bulb the instructions are on 1289 8L-159.

I can post images of the page if you need.

i thought about that as soon as i posted it, yes I have it, but thanks for narrowing it down for me. I got some LED bulbs from v-leds and they were for the license plate but they are too long to fit so I hope I can use them in the map lights.....

Which ones did you get? I almost ordered some the other night, wonder if they were the same ones (good thing I didn't order them I guess).

I ordered these.

The only place I found it fit was the glove box light. I should have measured them. I just ordered another set of these.
