If you watch the video over and over, it kinda looks like he has the truck sitting on the step tubes.

Lets play fill in what happened

Owner walks in to the shop can clearly see the truck on the lift wrong.
Calls over the new employee to give him some $hit.
Boss gets pissed that he walked under the possibly unstable truck and is even more mad.
Says to the new employee as he puts his hands on the truck "What if someone came in and leaned on the truck and its fell off."

Then crash bang boom, truck fall off lift, Owner stands there in disbelief.

I hate those lifts

 

+1 on that. one of those broke all the neon tubes on my civic.

indeed. they were cheap ones though.

actually my bad it was a scissor lift that broke my tubes. but i still done like thos post jacks they always scare the hell out of me for that very reason.
