Default Car dealer must not want to make money

I traded-in my very low mileage (less than 14K), garage-kept, ultra-clean 2006 Dakota earlier this week and here's the ad the dealer put up on their website:

http://www.koonsford.com/used/Dodge/...8aebc1052.htm#

They don't even bother mentioning that it is a 4wd. This truck has practically every option available on a Dakota, and they pretty much listed only basic SLT stuff. I left the original the window sticker in the truck, but apparently they ignored it. I would think potential buyers would want to know it has AWD, H.O engine, 5 speed auto (instead of the usual 4 speed), limited slip diff, power driver's seat, SoundBox sound system (6 speakers including a subwoofer), towing package, Sport appearance package, etc. This truck has $6k worth of options on top of the $25K SLT base price.

In any case you know anyone looking for a like-new Dakota at half the new MSRP (almost $31K), besides the stuff listed above, it has a Line-X spray-in liner, bed cargo tie-down system, Rancho RS5000s, and Firestone airbags on the rear.

It's Koons Ford, I hated dealing with those crooks when I lived in MD. What did you trade for?

I've had OK luck with Koons in the past - I've purchased a few new cars /trucks from them over the years. I've had a couple of incidents that pissed me off, but nothing too bad. Bob Bell Ford, on the other hand, will never get another penny from me.

I traded the Dakota in on a 2011 Taurus SHO. I also have a big Ford van, which pretty much made the Dakota irrelevant, so the Dak just sat in my garage unused. I'm also getting rid of my 2009 WRX. Reducing the fleet and freeing up garage space for more motorcycles.

I'd be interested to know what they're asking as well. Their first offer for my Dakota was $10K. I just stood up and started to walk out, but they said they'd call around to some Dodge dealers and would try to get more. Yeah, right. Somehow, a $13K offer magically appeared within seconds. If I didn't have another car that I'm trying to sell I would have held out for more, but I really didn't feel like trying to sell 2 used cars at once.

If you do call them, see if they are even aware that it's 4 wheel drive. They seem to be completely clueless.

It is not a quad cab and would not command 19k.
