Has anyone had a problem with the filler tube flap [inside flap] falling off and falling in to the filler tube or into the tank?? I'm sure I had one the last time I gassed up, now it's gone. Will this cause a problem with the engine light coming on or maybe a loss of power under a load if the flap is wedged somewhere in the filler tube. Do some trucks have this flap and some don't???? Confused!!!
wondering the same thing. not long after I bought my truck I noticed that there was no flap. I can't remember if there ever was one or if I was just remembering the truck I traded in. Its been 3 years and so far no lights or any other issues for that matter. I hope it won't hurt anything, or maybe it was never there in the first place idk.
Both of my newer vehicles do not have a flap. The Dakota and my Kia Rondo. My 03 S10 had a flap and my 92 Ranger has one too. Must be a newer thing for some vehicles.
