Yup, I plasti-dipped mine. Just clean them and spray, but make sure you tape off your tire.

If you get some on your tire, it's no big deal. Just hit it with a hammer (softly) and the rubber will flex and make it chip right off.

Backwoods18- how many spray cans did it take you to do each tire?
that way i have an idea how many cans i should order...
that looks sick btw.. thats what i have been looking to do
and if i plasti dip my rims, i wont need to buy new rims
(i have been wanting black rims)

-what did you clean your rims with prior to plasti-dippin em.
and does it come off easy once it's on?
and if i ever wanted to remove it, is it a pain in the ***? and will it ruin my rims (trying to remove it)

just some thoughts before i do it..
i doubt i will want to ever remove it, but weighing the options i guess you could say...

thanks for the Info/Pics man, they helped out ALOT!

Third brake lights never changed since 1997. Some dont have cargo lights (if that matters to you)

Tail lights will work on your truck as long as they are from 2005 or newer

i think these would look sick on my all black truck, then followed up with the Plasti-dipped Rims......
think the 3rd brake light will work (hopefully cargo light as well) ?

Yup, it will work and it has the cargo light. The tail lights will also work. Make sure you shop around (alot) before biting the bullet on one of the lights though. For example, here are the same tails but cheaper:

Thanks! Ok, It took 2 cans for me. (1/2 per tire). To clean them I just used dawn dish soap and water and rinsed really well after. It comes off, but not super easy. A lot of elbow grease and a rag will take it off. ( I put clear coat over mine, just to seal them.) Paint thinner wil NOT take off the plasti dip but will take off the clear coat thus making it easy to take the clear off and then rub the plasti dip off making your wheels look stock, no harm done to them. sorry it's a long response
