I think that makes you the second dakota in winston with a hood scoop. The other is a red truck with a primer gray scoop and what looks like the roof rack off a nissan frontier grafted on. Needless to say yours is sick, his... not so much.

Yup, the gutter guard can be painted.

Welcome to the forum by the way, and yes, I've painted mine twice actually, when I first put it on I painted it black, but decided I liked the silver better, so out came the spray paint...again....lol

thanks! im planning on blacking out my grill and headlights so i think i'd like to paint these inserts black too if i do it. did you sand it some how? how does the paint hold up?

sorry for hijacking your thread haha

no problem. I did no prep at all on the inserts, just painted them. they have held up perfectly fine. Your grill and headlights need to be sanded though. I used 1200 grit to rough everything up. It is also recommended to use some kind of adhesion promoter, though I did not use any.

thanks again. Your grille came out very nice. Was it chrome? I was thinking about finding a stock painted grille and repainting it because I am worried the paint wont stick to the chrome.
