Hurricane Irene
I didn't lose power here in Jersey. Looked like a big rainstorm from my apartment. Went out driving on Sunday though and there were a few trees down here and there, center of Piscataway looked like nothing even happened (other than WalMart being boarded up). 5 minutes north of me though a small stream turned into a good sized river, there was a park mostly underwater, a bridge that was underwater along with a bar at one end of it and a body shop at the other, oh and some woman's SUV that stupidly tried to drive through the "puddle". Only thing visible when I saw it was the top of the roof.
Here are some pictures from Vermont. I had planned on attending a motorcycle ride to many of the areas shown just a week before the hurricane hit, but didn't make it. Apparently the campground the group used and many of the roads were washed away,.

I've had a LOT of pictures emailed to me from family & friends I grew up with in the Hudson Valley of NY. My cousin sent me one of a guy kayaking in the mall parking lot not 2 miles from where I lived from age 9 - 19...
