They were awesome but expensive.
This is probably more rad than you would ever need.
I think just a rad of the same dimensions as the stock and a double row of tubes would cool a pretty healthy V8.
Probably opening up the front bumper air intake would also help and maybe a little scoop behind it to force the air into the rad.

We had a great day "on the hill" as well as Pizza from Gabriel's.
We were in Upper Canada Village for Canada day so we avoided all the really big crowds that scare country bumpkins like us. :>)

Have you been dealing with the heat on your trip? It has been sweltering here. No real rain for over 30 days. Driveway was damp this morning though, don't know that any went into the ground or not.

Us or the truck?
The truck has been doing really well.
It will maintain 65mph even up the hills at about 190F.
If I try to push it to 70mph I can see the temp start to climb so I just sit at 65.
I have been watching the EGT for the last few days as the temps have gone up. It has run 800 - 1000F the whole way across Canada but we were seeing temps of 20 - 24c and the odd time up to 28c. Yesterday was the first day we saw 30c and today a staggering 38c.
The EGT was starting to go to 1200 pretty easily so we pulled over at one of these fancy "travel Plazes" and made a roadside CAI from a pizza box and duct tape.
EGT dropped 300F!!
Even today in the 38c temps the EGT was never over 1100 and only on long hills. We other hand are wilting.
Outside of Rochester NY tonight and heading for Niagara falls in the morning.

Default 16,000km in 7 weeks

7 Weeks and 16,000km and we are home.
Coast to coast to coast, what a journey!
There is some amazing country out there.
After replacing the rad I had no more real problems.
The Cummins pulled our 5th wheel up all the hills I asked it to and there were some killers.
The truck will come off the road next month and I'll pull the engine back out to find and fix an oil leak and clean up a bit of the original installation.
For a shakedown trip it sure did work well.
Sure wish Dodge would have built these trucks with this "baby" cummins.

Truck came off the road today and will be back in the shop on and off over the winter for some cleanup and more upgrades.
Still have a few things to work out with the ECM / FCM to get everything working on the dash.
Still would like to build some bumpers and side rails.
Maybe a new larger fuel tank for extended road trips.
I'll try to get a clip on UTube before tearing it apart, pic's are one thing, the sound is another.

Just an update.
The truck is off the road for the winter and so I'm doing some upgrades.
The engine is out to fix an oil pan gasket leak that plagued me the whole holiday last summer.
I just received a new high performance exhaust manifold and have a much larger turbo to go with it.
Found a huge clutch master / slave setup from South Bend clutch designed for HD clutches in 2500's and 3500's. It bolted right in to the Dakota!!!
I should now be able to get rid of my vacuum assisted clutch which will clean things up a bit more.
