lower rear
what up everyone im thinking about leveling my 05 dak but i kinda want to do it not by blocks in the front but by lowering the rear end. maby 2 or 3 inches just to close the gap a bit in the back. whats the easy and least expensive method to this. i heard about these shackels at auto zone does any one have exp, on this project or other ideas
Canuckmotorsports has a good set, I installed a used set before christmas and they have been doing great. They have Polyurathane bushings instead of rubber crap, and they have a hole where you can put a zerk fitting.
By the way, you should get some pics of your truck, with those new rims you were telling me about.

how did u relocate the spring perches was there welding envolved or bolt on. frenicx, how much of a drop did the shackels give u, and all my pics are in my album, and how do u post threads with your pics with them, and next to your names.
yes, spring perch relocating will need welding. you can get the perches from Summit racing, it's good for almost 4 inches of drop, which is quite a bit more than leveling.
The shackles on the other hand are good for just 2 inches and level pretty well. Mine was slightly higher than level by about 1/2 inch in the rear. I just finished my coil trim in the front and have about another 1.5 to 2" drop up there. I will post some good pics soon.
If you just want to level then rear shackles are the way to go.

yeah, they had to be welded on. Good news is that the old perches aren't in the way so I still have them should I ever decide to go back up. Front does require new coilovers from Airbagit.....Lowboyz.
