Throttle cable mounting ideas
Since the 3rd gen hemi motor has been drive-by-wire since release in 2003, there's no factory solution for mounting throttle cables like we have on our intake manifold. The throttle body I have was meant for the Mopar Performance crate motors that were in the car configuration (different timing cover and intake manifold) with cables
What I'm trying to do is picture the 4.7 manifold without the molded in plastic cable brackets, and try to come up with ways to make one. Summit sells universal brackets but they are not really composite manifold friendly.
I am hoping to get some new ideas, do some brain storming and come up with something that will last and isn't botched up..
So far, I have thought of screwing a universal mount into the rather thick intake manifold, but that's too risky I think. I have also thought of mounting it on the fire wall, but I'm not sure how that will work. what do you guys think?
