Default installing hid's

Hey again everyone. I have ordered Hids and they finally came in. I went to install them and it turns out our headligh power cable has a female end with 3 opening, meanwhile the Hids I received have only 2. I have read a few things on it and it looks like I'm going to have to cut and splice my way into my lights... Is this true?

no. if it has a plastic thing that connects (or is supposed to) you can do one of two things. cut the plastic connecter (hid side) apart, and you will find two male pins. plug the one into the ground (i believe its the middle on our headlights) and then the other on either side of it. you will quickly find out whether its in the highbeam slot or lowbeam slot.
or if you shine a light into the connector, you might see two little openings below the pins. you can usually push a tiny slot screwdriver (one thats used for glasses)into it and release the pins. this is assuming you have a relay kit aswell.

i have done MANY hid kits in cards. feel free to pm me if you need help.

ps. it may help if you post a picture of the hid kit, and the connection on it to make sure what im saying is correct.

Sorry for the long wait. I was put on early 4am ambulance this week at the track and was just wayyy too tired to do anything when I got home. Lol. But that's the power connector from the ballast.

Mine plugged right in when I had them, are you sure they sent you the right ballast for our bulbs?

Yeah I tried prying it off but its stuck there also it has two prongs but they would line up for the high and low beam opening in the trucks female end. I hate buying stuff and having it lay around for a while. Lol. Id love to get these in by the end of the week.
Thank you in advance for more help.

There's different types? Lol. I thought it was universal. Haha. I emailed them and told them my issue and they said id probably have to cut and splice

iirc, you should be able to plug the stock headlight connector into that red plug without any mods. At least mine did. I dont think they are universal because not all headlight bulbs (and connectors) are the same...connector wise anyway...i.e. I could not use a ballast from a H7 HID kit for a 9006 bulb because the connectors for the bulbs are different....yours looks like a split system ballast (separate low and high beam bulbs).

These are the cables it came with. The middle wire seems to be a connector from the socket of the car to the pink thing connector on the ballast. I tried doing that and slip the metal tabs into the socket of the car and the hid just flickers even with the car off.
