How do you know if you have the high output 4.7?

Your 8th digit in your vin will have a "J"

Nice mine is a HO version. What are the differences again? Just a boost in HP right ..

Yeah, 8 VIN position J= high output. N= NOT high output.

The 4.7 was rated at 230 horsepower at 4,600 rpm and 290 lb.-ft. of torque at 3,600 rpm, while the 4.7-liter High Output V-8 further eclipsed the competition in both power and torque (thanks to added tuning features) with 250-plus horsepower and 300 lb.-ft. plus of torque. The High Output 4.7-liter engine was available only on SLT and Laramie models and required an automatic transmission.

The 4.7L H.O. also had some stronger internal components and some mild headers from the factory, if memory serves.

haha I knew it was VIN N for non H.O.! Because I always select that for my option on websites..
